10:00-10:55 – Troubleshooting Pumps – Zachari Taylor, Layne Pumps Inc., will discuss basic application and troubleshooting of pumps.
11:00 – 12:00 – NRCS Hour – Dan Murdock,Natural Resources Conservation Service, will discuss the latest issues with large diameter PVC pipe, end gun removal, variable rate irrigation, and LESA/LEPA systems.
1:00-1:55 State and Federal Transportation Laws & Your Business – Senior Specialist Bruce Sweat Idaho State Police, will review laws and regulations associated with the transportation of equipment and driving.
2:00-2:55 – Minimizing Risk Management – Bill Bankhead, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, will discuss how a company and their employees can minimize safety and health risks.
3:00-4:00 Electrical Safety – Trevor Parke, United Electric Co-Op, will discuss how to be safe in the field while setting up irrigation equipment on the job. Tour a demonstration trailer to really understand electricity’s power.
11 am – 12 noon Coaching, Corrective Action and Termination: How to Avoid Nightmares – Rebekah Yancey, SHRM-CP, PHR, Human Resources Manager for Commercial Creamery Company. When members of your team aren’t meeting your expectations what steps do you need to take? This session will talk about coaching, discipline and termination and how to avoid the pitfalls that can turn into costly mistakes.
