Nampa Civic Center, 311 Third Street South, Nampa, Idaho

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Technical Training, Business Classes and NRCS Technical Service Provider training for IIEA Members. This is a great opportunity for members of the IIEA to learn something new or take a refresher course. The NRCS TSP Service Provider class is open to everyone. Lunch is provided by Idaho Power Company. Please register with Tondee Clark at or call (208) 377-8188.

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Booth Setup & Registration – Setup your booths. Bring door prize items during registration time. Fill out description slips for each item. Pick up your packets.

5 p.m. – Pinewood Derby Car Weigh-In

6 p.m. – IIEA Annual Membership Meeting,
Banquet, Elections and IIEA Pinewood Derby

7:00 a.m. – IIEA Past President’s Breakfast, (Invitation Only) – Union Pacific Board Room

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Trade Show Open to Public, Nampa Civic Center

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Turf & Agricultural Irrigation Classes Sponsored by University of Idaho & IIEA Members

12 Noon – Board Meeting – Union Pacific Board Room

4:30 p.m. – Booth Take Down

8 am – 12 noon: Irrigation Association Exam Opportunity. Location to be determined.

2018 Technical & Business Training for IIEA Members

Technical Training – Pocatello Room

9:00 – 9:55 am | Electrical Safety – Doug Hill, Idaho Power Company. This course will illustrate electrical hazards and safety procedures associated with irrigation and electrical systems.

10:00-10:55 am | Pump Station Design & Operation – Troy Winward and Dan Axness, Idaho Power Company, will describe pump station design and operation parameters. Common issues and problems associated with pump design and implementation will be discussed.

11:00 – 12:00 am | Minimizing Risk Management – Michael Smart, BBSI, will look at challenges when faced working on irrigation equipment and the safety practices that will help ensure safety.  The class will also discuss case studies relating to safety and personal injury.

1:00 – 2:00 pm |Social Media – Getting the most out of Digital Marketing, Richard Restuccia, Jain Irrigation. This course will focus on increasing your company’s online presence on different social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, etc. and engage your customers through various forms of digital content.

2:00-3:00 pm |Accounting  Helps – Tim Anderson, Cooper Norman, CPAs  &  Business Advisors will discuss managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables, proper invoicing, latest accounting software for small business, and organization strategies for keeping track of receipts, bills, mileage, and expenses.
