Brett Wilder is a 2013 graduate of Meridian High School. He is a 6th generation Idaho agriculturist and has been very active in the Idaho 4-H and FFA organizations. In FFA he has served as Meridian FFA Chapter President, Boise Valley District FFA President and is currently serving as Idaho State FFA President. He has won state FFA championships in Creed Speaking, Prepared Public Speaking, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure and Livestock Judging. He was Chairman of Idaho’s Parliamentary Procedure Team that placed 3rd in the nation last year and has earned designation as an Accredited Parliamentarian. In 4-H he has served as Crafty Critter 4-H Club President, Ada County Ambassadors 4-H President, District II Representative, District II Leadership Retreat Founder and Director, and is currently serving as Idaho State 4-H Teen Association President. He was a member of the State Champion State 4-H Livestock Skillathon and Livestock Judging Teams representing Idaho well on the national level. He was a member of the National Honor Society and served as Senior Class Representative on the Meridian High School Student Council. He will attend the University of Idaho majoring in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Education and hopes to work in agricultural business, policy or law. Ultimately he would like to run for elected office and continue advocating for agriculture.
