Dana Kerner is a graduate of Weiser High School’s class of 2015. In high school, she was very involved in FFA, holding leadership positions and being awarded the Idaho State FFA Beef Proficiency Award and the Western Idaho District Star in Agribusiness. She will attend the University of Idaho majoring in animal science with a business option. She then plans to attend graduate school, studying bovine genetics. Dana is involved in numerous organizations including the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Idaho Cattle Association, the National Junior Hereford Association, and the Idaho Junior Hereford Association. She has held numerous leadership positions in the latter, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Reporter. Dana has a registered Hereford herd and sells bulls to local producers for breeding purposes. Her future career goals consist of becoming a geneticist and helping solve the issues that producers face daily. Dana is excited to further her education and appreciates the support of irrigation businesses.
