Douglas Kippes is a senior at the University of Idaho studying agricultural engineering. In 2011 he served as an ambassador for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences where he visited high schools in northern Idaho and eastern Oregon to promote agriculture and higher education. In 2010, Doug was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society in recognition for his academic achievements, character, and integrity. This spring he participated in a U of I faculty led study abroad tour to Taiwan where he gained invaluable international agriculture perspective. Future plans include graduate school, serving as a peer advisor, and organizing trips and events for the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers ASABE student branch where he will serve as vice-president next semester.
