Rachel Gross is a 2012 graduate from Skyview High School in Nampa, ID. In 2013, she graduated from Big Bend Community College with an Associates of Art and Science with high honors. After which she completed an international agricultural exchange program where she worked on a cotton farm in New South Wales, Australia for seven months. She received her bachelors in Sustainable Cropping Systems with a minor in Horticulture from the University of Idaho in 2016. In 2017 she worked for Simplot in the Plant Science division as a greenhouse intern. She is currently finishing her second year as a graduate student at the University of Idaho where she just switched to a PhD program with a projected graduation date of 2021. She is investigating molecular strategies to combat Pale Cyst Nematode in potato.
