Shalissa Hamilton is a 2010 graduate of Blackfoot High School. She was a member of Business Professionals of America, qualifying for nationals twice and receiving her Ambassador Torch Award. Shalissa was also a member of National Honor Society, Debate/Speech, Yearbook and Key Club. As a member of Key Club she was involved in many community service activities and served as Vice President. Shalissa also served as President of the Blackfoot FFA Chapter and Reporter for the South Upper Snake River District. While in FFA she was awarded “Outstanding Horticulture Producer” two years for her diverse exhibits in the Eastern Idaho State Fair. She qualified for State in the Job Interview category, twice, and was the 2010 District Star in Agribusiness. She will attend Utah State University and pursue a degree in agribusiness with a minor in accounting. She plans on becoming a Certified Public Accountant specializing in the agriculture industry. Growing up on a ranch has taught her the importance of agriculture and she looks forward to being a part of such an essential industry.
