Buckner/Superior Scholarship Recipient in memory of Gary Pendleton

Jessi Farr grew up in the small town of Challis and is a 2019 graduate of Challis Jr/Sr High School. During high school, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and graduated at the top of her class. Along with focusing on her academics, she participated in many extra-curricular activities including; Basketball, Rodeo, Golf, Sources of Strength, National Honor Society, Academic Team, Yearbook, Envirothon, FFA, and 4-H. She has been very active in her local 4-H program and is going into her fourteenth year. She is also a well-known cowgirl. She has qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo twice and has won the Idaho District 1 All-Around Cowgirl three times. In 2018, she won the Women’s Ranch Rodeo in conjunction with the Salmon PRCA Rodeo. She now attends the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana. She is majoring in Business with a minor in outdoor guiding and wildlife. She is also a member of the rodeo team. She was recently elected to a committee of students that has a voice for all the athletic programs. She hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of her family and become a third-generation outfitter.
