Sydney Anderson is an upcoming senior at the University of Idaho majoring in Agriculture Science, Communication and Leadership. Throughout high school, she was passionate about her involvement in the National FFA Association and 4-H program. While being involved in FFA, she participated in many Career Development Events such as Horse Evaluation, Agriculture Mechanics, Agronomy Livestock Evaluation. She served as the president of the Nampa FFA Chapter and the Boise Valley District and continued to serve as an Idaho FFA State Officer. Sydney is located in Twin Falls, Idaho where she has successfully earned two associate’s degrees in Agriculture Business and Equine Studies and has continued to earn her bachelor’s degree with the University of Idaho and College of Southern Idaho 2+2 Program. While remaining in the Magic Valley she works full-time at a local restaurant and apprentices under a local silversmith learning the art of silversmithing and engraving. During the summer she spends her time embarking on internships. This past summer she interned at the California Chamber of Commerce in Sacramento, California and the United States Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. She also worked alongside US Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue. Sydney Plans to enter a career in the agricultural industry, advocating for agriculture.
